Belorusneft Rig Building Department specialists assembled the 5 thousandth drilling rig.

Rig Building Department specialists have completed the installation of the drilling rig Uralmash 3D-86 at well No 27 of the Kartashovskoye oilfield. It has become the 5 000th rig.

Foreman Nikolai Volkov, whose team assembled the jubilee rig has a record of many hundreds of rigs being constructed at the Belorusneft oilfields. He has been working for Belorusneft since 1995. For the last years he has installed all the rigs built by the company. Among them there are Russian Uralmash-3D-76 and 3D-86, Italian Drillmec, German Bentec and domestic ARS-250.

For 56 years of its history, Belarusian rig builders have built 1,973 rigs in Belarus and 3,022 rigs in different years in Western Siberia, where they did a tremendous amount of work, especially in the Soviet period. Another 5 rigs were installed in Ukraine. Nowadays, the last year has become the most "fruitful" in terms of the number of rigs constructed: 51 rigs in the Republic of Belarus and 1 rig in Western Siberia.
